I was born in the spring of 1988 in a small town in Lebanon. After completing my master’s degree in cinema directing at ALBA University in 2012, I began my career in film and television. Since 2008, I’ve worked in various roles—director, editor, director of photography, and sound recordist—on both documentary and narrative projects.
In 2016, I filmed the feature documentary Counting Tiles, directed by Cynthia Choucair. The film premiered at the 2018 Rotterdam Film Festival and went on to compete in numerous other festivals. A year later, I relocated to Paris to pursue a second master's degree in creative documentary filmmaking at Paris 7 Diderot (DEMC), which I completed in 2018.
My recent work as a sound recordist includes two feature documentaries: We Are Inside (2024) by Farah Kassem (Lebanon) and You Don’t Die Twice by Ager Oueslati (Niger/France).
My filmography also features several short documentaries: Snake Hill (2024) and Pas de ports pour les petits bateaux, which won the Tanit d’Argent at the Carthage Film Festival (JCC) in 2017 and Best International Short Documentary at Cinéma sous les étoiles in Canada in 2019. Additionally, two experimental 8mm shorts: Did You See the Woman?, screened at Les Rencontres du Cinéma Documentaire - Périphérie Montreuil in 2018, and Aller-retour, which won second prize at the Regard Indépendant Festival in Nice in 2019.
I recently directed the 12-episode documentary series Victims and Heroes for Al Jazeera 360 platform, filmed in Somalia, Iraq, Lebanon, Gaza and Turkey, exploring the devastating impact of war on children.
Currently, I’m in the research and development phase of my first feature documentary, and I’m excited to continue this journey of discovery, learning, and sharing stories that matter.
